Zhou Dongliang fully affirmed the results achieved by the performing arts sector in Jiangsu Province since the implementation of the Three-Year Action Plan to Construct a Highland of Literary and Artistic Creations. Whether it is the number and quality of newly created plays, the number of national literary awards, or the support for performing arts talents, Jiangsu Province is at the forefront of the country. He believes that Jiangsu has a long-term policy to support the creation of literature and arts, so that smaller city and county-level arts groups can also produce excellent productions.

Xiao Yajun, taking into account the actual operation of Jiangsu Kunqu Theatre, proposes that the evaluation of cultural and artistic excellence can start from both economic and social benefits. The evaluation of cultural art forms such as Kunqu, which has undertaken the mission of inheriting intangible cultural heritage but can hardly survive on the market, should focus on social benefits and take into account economic benefits. Since the implementation of the Three-Year Action Plan for Building a Highland of Literary and Artistic Creations, Jiangsu Kunqu Theatre has received more special funds to devote its main energy to artistic creation, and has broken the curse that Kunqu cannot create modern plays.

From his own experience of applying for the National Endowment for the Arts, Yin Wuming talks about the care that cultural and artistic management cadres in Jiangsu province provide for the whole process of the creation of literary and artistic works, which on the one hand can effectively guide the creative direction of literary artists, and on the other hand is an incentive for them.

Song Deyong proposed that the creation of fine arts in Jiangsu is closely related to the cultivation of literary and artistic talents, and that excellent literary and artistic talents are the prerequisite for the output of fine arts, and that the establishment of a good institutional mechanism for literary and artistic talents plays an important role in promoting the creation of fine arts. In the process of reforming art education, art universities need to clarify the needs of literary and artistic excellence, optimise the structure and knowledge system of teachers, and provide support for the creation of literary and artistic excellence from the perspective of talent training.

Deng Pan believes that the development of literature and art cannot be separated from the development of cities, and there is a harmonious relationship between cities and literature and art. Literature and art make cities great, and cities provide space for the development of literature and art. According to statistics, the urbanization rate of Jiangsu province has reached 73.9%, and the urbanization rate of Nanjing city has reached 86.9%. The city has become the main field of cultural consumption in Jiangsu Province. Therefore, literary and artistic creation should be actively involved in the renewal of the city.

Jiang Xiaomeng pointed out that the creation of fine literary and artistic works should first grasp the context of literary and artistic creation, and the creation of works that are both popular and popular. Secondly, talent is the most important guarantee for the creation of fine literary and artistic works. For literary and artistic talents, they not only need to give material treatment corresponding to their ability, but also give the stage, team, understanding and respect.

Lecturers Chen Shi and Zhang Rui from the School of Cultural Industry, postgraduate and doctoral students and other members of the research group attended the meeting. Mr.Chen Shi had a heated discussion with the participants on the use and allocation of funds of Jiangsu Province Art Fund and the creation path of the art curator of the South Art Art Museum.
